Blue Jersey Friday Haiku

by: Jason Springer

Fri Feb 05, 2010 at 12:15:00 PM EST

As we head toward a snowy weekend, how much depends on where you are in the state, let's begin in rhyming style.

We have plenty of material as usual including the talk this week over don't ask don't tell, the current state of the healthcare debate, the movement to abolish COAH, Delaware dredging issues, the Baldini trial, and Governor Christie using his veto power while he asks for more. That's just a sampling.

Rules are simple: You compose a haiku (5 syllables, then 7, then 5) on the topic the last poster suggests. Then you get to set the next topic.

First topic: Baldini Corruption Trial

Healy Baldini
Only one is on trial
They both don't look good

Next topic: Don't ask, Don't tell

Blue Jersey Friday Haiku

Fri Jan 15, 2010 at 12:00:00 PM EST

So this is the last Blue Jersey Friday Haiku with Jon Corzine as Governor. Chris Christie is starting to announce the people who will lead his administration and implement his policies. The terrible news of Haiti has spurred a response from all over the state. Medical marijuana is only a signature of the Governor away now after both houses passed it. Clearly, we're not short of topics once again to work with.

Rules are simple: You compose a haiku (5 syllables, then 7, then 5) on the topic the last poster suggests. Then you get to set the next topic.

First topic: New Leaders

Sweeney/Oliver
No longer Codey/Roberts
We've got new leaders

Next topic: Medical Marijuana
