Today, the WesPAC and Democrats Work communities launched a contest to determine which Congressional District General Wes Clark is going to visit this summer.
This won't be an ordinary visit. General Clark will travel to one Congressional District where a Democratic challenger is fighting to change the direction of our country to work side-by-side with area Democrats to make a positive impact through community service. We want you to tell us where we should put our values into action.
But since Blue Jersey wasn't around during the primaries in 2003/2004, let's find out who we supported back then. Unlike the strawpolls, this isn't asking who you voted for, as the nomination was clinched by the time of Jersey's June 2004 primary. Tell us who you primarily supported before the nominee had been decided.
Last month's results are here, along with February's results. As he has not come forward with his intentions, Wes Clark is no longer included in this poll.
(I had been planning to post this yesterday, and forgot. Here it is a day late!)
We are now less than a year away from New Jersey's projected Democratic Presidential Primary. This is the first of what will become a monthly strawpoll, with the last one to take place on February 5, 2008. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order and the position will rotate every month.
UPDATE: After a day and a half, this poll is called at 68 votes (all further results are void). And John Edwards is the overwhelming victor.
Here's Wes Clark and Chris Dodd in the lobby at the DNC Winter Meeting. Dodd never made it all the way to Blogger Alley. The audio is pretty bad, but it's worth a try!
