UPDATE:Well - we tried something new, and it totally killed! I think we've got a fun new toy.
Hope you enjoy it! - JG
Each week, Blue Jersey Radio streams LIVE with New Jersey's latest political buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your stimulating calls.
This week: Do you like things fresh and delicious? Then, you're in luck. Maybe. Because tonight we're trying out something new - a roundtable discussion - featuring me, Jason, Brian McGinnis, and That One (I mean Thurman Hart). We'll be chatting up the week in New Jersey politics, and the Garden State implications of national stuff.
Think Moe, Larry, Curley and Shemp - all together for 30-minutes of political talk, and yes, the occasional smackdown. If it works - we may just make this a regular feature. So, please, give us some feedback in the comments - we're big boys, we can take it.
This week: Jeff is taking a few week's vacation so cross your fingers because I'll be running the board. I won't be alone however as Brian McGinnis will be joining us as co-host and we'll have a special guest, 2nd District Congressional Candidate Dave Kurkowski who is challenging incumbent Frank LoBiondo to talk about the progress of his campaign.
Along with our interview, we're past the Democratic Convention and right smack in the middle of the GOP festivities.
Perhaps you want to talk about how the Democratic convention went? Last week we heard live from Scott and Reed Guscoria from Denver.
Or maybe you want to touch on this week's convention and what the selection of Sarah Palin as VP choice means to NJ?
Do you have an opinion on the sudden apparent death of Clean elections?
Could you offer some kind words to ease GOP Chair Tom Wilson's possible oncoming sickness?
Along the line's of Wilson's blood pressure, we can touch on how the NRCC is making ad buys, but none that will help any of their candidates here in NJ.
What would you like to see on the agenda of the NJ Legislature as they return for business? It appears transportation issues will be front and center.
If you don't like any of those ideas, call and give you you're own because of course, it's all LIVE. Want to join in? Give us a call tonight at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time and have your say with me, Brian and the rest of the Blue Jersey listening audience.

Did you know we passed a milestone this weekend?
Just yesterday -- Saturday -- marked 100 days until election day in November.
At the Adler Campaign we marked the occasion with a "mobilize for change day."
That meant dozens and dozens and dozens of volunteers pounding the pavement and manning the phones for John Adler (and Barack Obama.)
UPDATE:If we only had Holly Shulman join us tonight, that would have been enough. (Holly is Dennis's daughter who's working on the campaign of Rick Noriega for U.S. Senate here in Texas.)
But, Dennis called in too, and as usual, was terrific, culminating in a mini-family reunion on air. A very special Blue Jersey Radio. Listen for yourself- JG.
Each week, Blue Jersey Radio streams LIVE with New Jersey's latest political buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your stimulating calls.
This week: Jeff is still live from Netroots Nation in Texas, while Jason guards the homefront in South Jersey. After a fun turn on Sirius Satellite Radio this afternoon, it's back down the food chain to internet radio, but I loved talking to you all on the way up, and anxious to meet you again. Plus, we'll be joined by a few special guests, so you may just want to crank up the air conditioning and your volume, and join us. Give us a call tonight at 8:00 p.m. It'll be fun!
We're live in primetime one more time from 8:00p-8:30p tonight, and would love to hear from you. Just call: 646-652-2773
Nestled snug between a Baked Lays taste test and their ubiquitous traffic reports, there was Garden State Equality's new South Jersey bureau chief (and Blue Jersey alum) Brian McGinnis --aka SJBrian -- taking the equality debate to FOX 29.
Now for those of you who know how hard going on live TV can be, you recognize this as a command performance.
When someone can't get into the ER to see their sick partner, that's a breach of human dignity. When someone has to fight until their last breath to ensure their parter will receive thier pension benefits, that's a breach of human dignity. When someone is denied heath insurance because their partner is gay, that's a breach of basic human dignity.
The legislature promised us that Civil Unions would fix all that AND IT DIDN'T.
And so the fight goes on: in the trenches, in the statehouse, in the progressive community and -- as Brian demonstrates -- on the airwaves.
