The Poor Get Hosed, Timmy. The Poor Get Hosed.

If you are poor in New Jersey, don’t get sick.  At least, don’t get sick enough to go to the hospital:

The state’s hospitals, on average, charge uninsured patients or those who pay out of pocket more than four times what insurance companies and Medicare end up paying for the same care, according to the study published today in the journal Health Affairs.

New Jersey Drivers: It’s All True

New Jersey drivers are among the worst in the country? Well, paint me yellow and call me a cab — who’d a thunk it?

This mind-boggling, stop-the-presses level news comes from GMAC Insurance group, which found that Jersey drivers rank 48th on a test of basic driving knowledge. That’s a tie with Massachusetts and ahead of D.C. (makes sense) and Rhode Island, which is so small I didn’t think anybody had room to drive recklessly.
