White supremacist threatens NJ blogger

by: Juan Melli

Wed Apr 16, 2008 at 02:06:33 PM EDT

This morning Steven Hart wrote about "New Jersey's resident white-supremacist head case, Hal Turner of North Bergen" and his calls for violence against a Massacusetts school's superintendent on his internet radio show.
"In our schools we have gay and lesbian families. This curriculum is not about sexuality at all," [Lexington schools Superintendent Paul] Ash said.

"For example, it's a picture book and you turn to a page and you see a family with a grandmother raising a child. You turn to a page you might see two mothers raising a child."

But it's enough to anger the talk show host who wrote on his Web site: "I would laugh if concerned fathers donned ski masks and gloves, took a ride over to the this arrogant (expletive) house and knock the living (expletive) out of him."

Turner himself responded to Hart's post with a threat of violence (emphasis mine):
Hal Turner Says:
April 16, 2008 at 10:30 am
You're hot stuff: You call me a "head case" then you turn around and DEFEND teaching 5 year olds about queer "families."

It's sickos like you that children need to be protected from. I take steps to protect those kids while your ilk wants to fill their heads with unnatural nonsense.

If you think me TALKING against your worldview is bad, wait til you see the actions me and my folks are preparing to take.

While I won't go into those plans with you in this forum, rest assured, there will be blood shed in the coming cultural war.

The FBI defines terrorism as "The unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives."

Our government is prosecuting a group of men who videotaped themselves at a firing range and playing paintball as practice for their alleged plot against Fort Dix and then turned over that video to a Circuit City store clerk. A few clowns short of a circus.

Hal Turner isn't even hiding his politically-motivated threats of violence. It's right under our noses. Are Mr Christie and the FBI paying attention?

Kids (0.00 / 0)
Kids get suspended for drawing a bloody knife (imagine the trouble Shakespeare would get in these days!) get kicked out of public schools and their futures ruined, but jackasses like this making terroristic threats get nothing.

What a joke

If A Muslim Sent a Threat Like This.... (0.00 / 0)
to someone condemning Al Qaeda the person making the terroristic would be in custody "right quick".

As it is, I have to suspect that there may be elements of our "security" establishment that may share Turner's values if not his precise agenda.

Does anyone here think Chris Christie, or anyone in the Bush administration, gives a shit that any progressive is being threatened by the functional equivalent of an American Nazi?

Eliminating corruption and making democracy work is about more than just some abstract principle.    It may end up keeping you and your loved ones alive.

Hitler started out as just a crazy wacky guy who spewed hate.  No one took him seriously...until it was too late.

Think.

wait a minute (0.00 / 0)
Isn't making a terrorist threat a criminal act?  Where are the cops?  Where's the FBI?  And where oh where is Mr. Christie?

"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."  (Teddy Roosevelt)

May or may not be illegal (4.00 / 1)
A threat of death is only illegal when there is reasonable belief that it will be carried out - usually signified by either substantial planning or by the implementation of any rudimentary plan.  In the lack of any actual real risk to a person, it has been ruled protected speech by a number of federal courts.

Turning is a pretty sad individual.  In the whole internet, only 50 people would pay fifty cents to listen to his stupidity.  So he got mad and turned FBI informer (reportedly).  Even the morons that agree with him can't stand him.

I think he's trying to compensate for the complete lack of a penis.

To hell with what she wants, let's make Rosi Efthim the next DSC chair.
