Round One, aka the "viability threshold."

by: Jay Lassiter

Fri Dec 07, 2007 at 09:08:28 PM EST

Hillary, out.

Biden, later dude.

Richardson?  bitch, please.

Only three candidates made the second "viability" round: Obama, Edwards and Kucinich in that order.

Right now those who voted for a candidate who was KO'd are being woo'd to join one the the three remaining candidates.

Anyone wanna guess??

Since it's North Jersey, I would presume that the candidate is Obama, though Edwards is the superior choice, IMO.

its gotta be edwards (4.00 / 1)
Dick Codey is real popular, and so is Edwards up in these parts.  he just doesnt get the media attention hill or obama get cuz he's more of a traditional candidate.  but that will add to the momentum when he 'shocks' everyone by winning tonight and more importantly, the iowa caucus

edwards or obama? (4.00 / 1)
I'm a huge fan of both Edwards and Obama.

I think either would make a fantastic president.

At this point a lean towards Edwards because I think he would be a bit less cautious and would move us further along a progressive agenda.  I think he has a willingness to take on entrenched power that Obama may have, but has not shown yet.

I think Obama's rhetorical emphasis on common ground and healing is important and heartfelt, but it may be counterproductive when the only compromise the other side recognizes is capitulation.  On the other hand, the appeal of Obama to the millenials and the politically apathetic may present a real opportunity for a reallignment election.

I don't think there is a bad choice between the two.
