Just got an email from Colonel Richard Klass of Vets PAC, the board has voted to endorse Tom Wyka over Rodney frelinghuysen.

More to come.

Update:
VetsPAC has also endorsed Barack Obama and Senator Frank Lautenberg

FogerRox :: VetsPAC endorses Tom Wyka
Group 8 Veterans are those not rated as disabled, they face a means test to be eligible for VA Health care. If a Veteran has zero dependents and makes over 28.4k per year, that Veteran is ineligible for VA Health care. Even if he/she served 4 tours in Iraq.

In many areas of the US 28.4k per year is just scratching by, this means test needs to be raised considerably. The means test could be linked to the Federal poverty level in the county of residence, say 200%.

National Guardsman and Reservists are not eligible to purchase the Tri Care Health Plan.

http://www.tricare.mil/factshe...

There have been many Tri Care bills in congress with bi partisan support, to allow National Guardsman and Reservists to buy into this health plan, none have passed.

Tom Wyka will make a great advocate for these issues and other Veterans Issues. Congressman Frelinghuysen doesn't vote for Vets, there is no reason Vets should vote for Rodney.

VetsPAC on Barack Obama:

Barack Obama helped pass 10 key veterans bills since 2007, including three bills he personally introduced which 1) prevented veterans with PTSD or TBI from being wrongfully discharged and

2) protected family members from being fired for taking time off work to care for wounded service members.

Obama has also sponsored 36 additional veterans bills since 2007, reaching across the aisle consistently to work with Senate Republicans.

John McCain seems to take veterans support for granted. McCain has failed to endorse numerous efforts sponsored by Barack Obama and Senate Republicans,

From the VetsPAC mission statement:

The defining commitment of VETPAC is to bring the unique perspective of America's veterans to issues of security, democracy and justice, a perspective born out of patriotism, forged in service and in battle, and paid for in blood. We will keep faith with our fallen comrades by continuing to fight for the ideals and values for which they sacrificed.
