what will the moderator do (0.00 / 0)
Many blogs seem to be predicting that he will raise Ayres, Wright, etc.  I hope not.

LET'S GET READY TO RRRUUUUMMMMBBBLLLLEEEEE! (0.00 / 0)
:-)

Nancy Reagan ... (0.00 / 0)
What a tool.  In the first debate McCain talks about Ted Kennedy, now Nancy Reagan.

They're not running or really part of this race.  Leave them alone and stand on their own.

i am nervous (0.00 / 0)
and have to decide between Debate, Project runway finale AND the phillies....

what would you do?

the debate will be on again (0.00 / 0)
later tonight, so you could go with Project Runway, then switch to the Phillies for the end, then watch the debate.

GET TIVO! (0.00 / 0)
It's a dream machine.

[ Parent ]
why is your economic plan better than his? (0.00 / 0)
not bad to start with.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

Again he blames Freddie and Fannie (0.00 / 0)
He's proving again he doesn't understand.

Fannie and Freddie did not ORIGINATE any of these loans.  They bought them from the assholes who wrote bad loans.

[ Parent ]
Joe Wertzelberger (0.00 / 0)
Oh, goodness.  How folksy.

It's Obama's fault he didn't invest in a business!

[ Parent ]
It's an Obama Win (0.00 / 0)
The way this debate is shaping up they are both going to seem reasonable, which means Obama wins and nothing changes.

Blink, blink, blink, blink (0.00 / 0)
Obama is blinking faster than I can type

Ah, hell (0.00 / 0)
I mean McCain is blinking

[ Parent ]
man (0.00 / 0)
I was ready to say McCain is blinking even more, then I saw this.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

[ Parent ]
McCain lies about taxes (0.00 / 0)
"The US businesses pay 38 percent, in Ireland they pay 11 percent"

In Ireland they don't have deductions.  After deductions, the US is way lower.

McCain is a liar.

Blink, blink, blink, blink (0.00 / 0)
Holy cow.  This is the story of the debate, like his wandering around last time.

McCain not answering question at all (0.00 / 0)
What the hell? He's already on his second answer.  It's like a robot whose programing broke in the old Star Trek.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

A billion dollars in defense spending (0.00 / 0)
Scheifer says how, and McCain doesn't talk about any saving in defense spending.

Ooooh, goes after Boeing.

PORK BARRELL!  OVERHEAD PROJECTOR!!!

What a putz.

seriously (0.00 / 0)
McCain seemed to squeeze about ten different things into a minute.  Only the fact that it was mostly lines from previous debates let e follow at all. Obviously I'm hostile to him, but I can't believe anyone was convinced.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

I am not President Bush (0.00 / 0)
Yeah, but all the people who work for you worked for President Bush

Even Fox News Disputes It (0.00 / 0)
Just stay on an even keel, and you win, Mr. Obama.

mccain says this is tough campaign (4.00 / 1)
mccain says this has been a tough campaign, but if obama would only have a town hall meeting, then we wouldnt need this tenor in the campaign.  You mean they wouldn't be calling him a terrorist?

now he's going into John Lewis

[ Parent ]
Again, McCain takes notes (0.00 / 0)
and Obama just sits there.

I've seen this nowhere else, but McCain needs to take notes to be sure he knows what's going on.

Obama has not taken one note in three debates.  He is able to keep all the ideas  in his head and work for them.

McCain and Wallace (0.00 / 0)
What a load of shit.  Lewis never said anything about McCain and Palin being a part of George Wallace's time, he said that the McCain/Palin campaign was delving into the same hateful world as Wallace.

[ Parent ]
Mccain goes back to Lewis (0.00 / 0)
Obama refers to references at rallies and even mentions kill him.

Obama talks about Congressman Lewis's point and Lewis follow up statement saying he went to farm.

Then talks about how the American people want people to focus on the really big challenges.  Talks about his healthcare policy differences while McCain tries to interrupt.

McCain says he's proud of people who come to his rallies.  Always will have fringe people.  Refers to veterans that wear those hats and tries to say people who come are the most dedicated patriotic rallies.

[ Parent ]
100% of your ads John (0.00 / 0)
Obama blew that line.  100% of the ads in the last few weeks were negative, not 100% of all ads by McPalin.

JOHN MCCAIN IS LEFTHANDED! (4.00 / 1)
And his names means "Son of Cain"

What does this mean?

/snark

McCain is getting schooled (0.00 / 0)
and looks like an asshole interrupting Obama.

HE BROUGHT UP AYERS! (0.00 / 0)
An ACORN is destroying the fabric of America.

Goodness

Ayres and Acorn (4.00 / 1)
McCain goes there.

Obama says Ayres has become centerpiece of McCain campaign.  Bill Ayres is professor of education in Chicago.  40 years ago, when Obama was 8 he engaged in dispicable acts.  He has roundly condemned.  10 years ago, they served on a school reform board that was funded by Anenberg, along w/ many other Republicans on the board.  Ayres is not involved in Obama campaign, has not been in campaign and wouldn't be involved in his White House.

Acorn had nothing to do with Obama campaign.  Only involvement he had w/ Acorn was implementing Motor voter law to help people register at DMV's w/ US Justice Deparmtent.

Obama says he associates w/ Warren Buffett and Paul Voelker on economy.

Joe Biden and Dick Lugar and Gen Jim Jones on war.

Those are the Dems and Republicans who have shaped his ideas and would be around him in the white house.

The fact that it has become such a important part of the campaign says more about the McCain campaign than it does Obama.

McCain goes back for more...

McCain blew it (0.00 / 0)
He's uncomfortable with the attack, and it's just not working.

TAXES!!!!!!

[ Parent ]
that was extraordinarily boring (0.00 / 0)
even though it was nasty and had the candidtaes responding to each other.

Moderators should just avoid these attacks because it is just not worthwhile.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

Next Question: Why would the country be better off if your running mate became President? (4.00 / 1)
Obama goes first listing all the great things about Biden.  I can't wait to hear McCain's response.

Sarah Palin (0.00 / 0)
Reformer, role model to women.  Took on own party.  head of energy board, saw corruption and resigned.  gave money back to taxpayers.   faced down oil companies.   natural gas pipeline.   she is a reformer through and through.  time for breath of fresh air to sweep out old boy network (like mccain).  she understands special needs families. (except when she cuts funding).  He is proud of her.  She has united party and is so proud of her and her family.  Says husband is a tough guy (troopergate anyone)

Bob asks Obama about Palin.   Obama takes the high road saying nice things about her.   Obama points out Autism and special needs will require more funding for research and across the board spending freeze won't be able to do it.  He cites that as example of use of scalpel.

McCain on Biden.  Biden is qualified but has been wrong on many foreign policy decisions.  Cites vote against 1st gulf war and idea of Iraq as 3 countries.    McCain goes back to Obama needing to spend more.  Why can't we have transparency, reform, blah blah.  Obama has proposed lots of new spending and will raise your taxes.

Americans (0.00 / 0)
"Americans have gotten to know Sarah Palin ..."

and they don't like her, John.

[ Parent ]
I think McCain is reinforcing (4.00 / 2)
his image as a nasty old man.  He even attacks Biden.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

Agreed (0.00 / 0)
although the right wing might like.  Not really what he needs, but just sayin.

[ Parent ]
This debate is boring (4.00 / 1)
McCain has accomplished nothing

Extreme Environmentalists = Safe Fuel (0.00 / 0)
dumbass

factcheck: Is Indonesia south of America (4.00 / 1)
Answer: yes.

So is Kenya.

But Obama goes to assassination of labor leaders.  Nice move, much smarter than me.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

McCain says (0.00 / 0)
Obama doesn't want to have trade w/ our largest partner but wants to sit down w/out pre-conditions w/ Hugo Chavez.  Mentions terrorists and says Obama would be Hoover making recession to depression.   It's amazing, last month the fundamentals were strong.  Now Obama has the power to make us have a depression.

Hoover wanted to balance the budget (4.00 / 1)
McCain is a fool.

Obama looks into camera to explain health care plan (0.00 / 0)
As he did with energy.  I think it's effective.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

McCain confuses me (0.00 / 0)
and I'm pretty knowledgeable about this stuff

What's wrong ... (0.00 / 0)
with Canada and England?  McCain has a problem with Canada and England?

[ Parent ]
Flag Pin Check (4.00 / 3)
I almost forgot, Obama has his flag pin, McCain no pin.  I only noticed that because McCain looked so stunned when Obama said there would be no fine on healthcare that he just kept blinking and I had to look away.

McCain lying to Joe (0.00 / 0)
totally bizarre.  It's like being next to one of those people talking on their bluetooth phone.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

to Roe or not to Roe (0.00 / 0)
wow, this is interesting.

activist for hire.Follow jay_lass on Twitter

Obama talks about common ground (0.00 / 0)
tries to get past the divisive parts of the abortion issue.   He says no one is pro-abortion.

McCain goes after the health of the mother saying the definition has been stretched.

[ Parent ]
Bored, bored, bored, bored (4.00 / 1)
Oh, goodness, but this debate is boring.

That's good for Obama.

Flipping between (0.00 / 0)
the debate and the Phillies game, otherwise i might be nodding off.

[ Parent ]
I think McCain's problem is that he is incoherent (4.00 / 1)
It's the senate problem.  He's argued and spoken about these issues for so long that he doesn't explain what he's talking about.

That's besides the anger and contempt problem, of course.

Frank LoBiondo Record and Jon Runyan Watch

So, after the election (0.00 / 0)
Will we be friends with Venezuela again? I keep wondering.
