| Here are 2 votes the Congressman made that just don't pass the smell test:

On Agreeing to the Amendment
05/26/2005

109th Congress, 1st Session
Failed: 213-214
Melancon amendment that sought to add $53 million for veterans health care and process claims for compensation and pensions. It would be offset by $169 million cut to the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Act (by a recorded vote of 213 ayes to 214 noes, Roll No. 224).

This amendment lost by one vote, the Congressman could have single handedly decided this vote.
It appears the Congressman voted to cut Vets healthcare and to cut money that might speed claims processing up. I understand that a soldier coming home from Iraq will wait 6 to 9 months to have a claim processed. Maybe this is why.

It appears to me that on May 11th, 2006 the Congressman voted to cut benefits for Orphans and widows. Infuriating, is it not?
Tom Wyka is running against Congressman Frelinghuysen, Tom won't be leaving Veterans widows and orphans stranded at the Bus station without a ride.
Currently VA funding is discretionary, and partial. This means that non VA spending bills can tap into the VA budget. Mandatory funding would stop that practice.
Supporting Vets means supporting Mandatory and then full funding of the VA. As Congressman Tom Wyka will take these issues to the floor of the house in support of Vets issues by voting for Vets, instead of masquerading as a supporter of Vets issues like Rodney Frelinghuysen.
If Rodney Frelinghuysen won't vote for Vets, why should they vote for Rodney?
In NJ-11 on election day, vote for Tom Wyka. |
