(one more time - promoted by jmelli)

BlueJersey's podcast series soon will be continuing with our next guest, Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6).

Congressman Pallone has graciously agreed to sit down with me for a half-hour interview that will be recorded and available as a BlueJersey.net podcast. And you, dear reader, are invited to whisper your questions into my ears. Best questions will be included in the interview.

What? You mean you haven't subscribed to the BlueJersey.net podcast yet? What are you waiting for? Subscribe!

my question (4.00 / 1)
Given the corruption in Washington, including several members under indictment, why won't you file an ethics complaint and use the only institutional machinery available for the House to police itself?

Please explain your support for the "Broadcast Flag", which would stifle market competition among providers of television accessories, and obstruct consumers' choices of how to view video content that they paid for (http://www.eff.org/broadcastflag/three_minute_guide.php).

The entertainment companies don't like tools that give you more control. The movie studios boycotted TV because they thought it would clean out the movie theaters. Then they complained that the remote control would make it too easy to skip commercials. Then they freaked out over the VCR, saying it was the "Boston Strangler" of the American film industry and accusing the Japanese (i.e., Sony) of deliberately sabotaging the American economy by targeting the made-in-America film industry with their infernal VCRs. They're not fond of video-capture cards, sued into bankruptcy a personal video recorder company (like TiVo)...and the list goes on and on. (Electronic Frontier Foundation -- EFF.org)

Mine is less important.

It's been reported recently that NASA is slashing science budgets in order to pay for the space shuttle and space station cost overruns. Strangely, NASA plans to discontinue the shuttle and station anyway in a few years.  This especially includes funding for studies of the Earth's climate.  Do you have plans to oppose these cuts and to restore the 'wall' between science and manned flight costs which was removed by Congress?

I have to say that I really like his press releases:

(even if the blog on his website seems to have died).

Here is mine (4.00 / 1)
Why aren't more Democrats using the Medicare boondoggle against the Republicans?

Will this be an issue? If not why not?

Seems to me that the largest voting block out there has suffered pretty badly thanks to the Republican Medicare boondoggle.

In fairness, Pallone has a new website with a new blog:
