Wood-Ridge Borough Hall has confirmed to Blue Jersey that the Bergen County municipality was served with a subpoena on Friday seeking records in the investigation of Joe Ferriero and Dennis Oury. Last Monday, the US Attorney's office subpoenaed records in a dozen other Bergen County municipalities. State Senator Paul Sarlo is the Mayor of Wood-Ridge.

Update: Wood-Ridge Borough Administrator/Sarlo Legislative Chief of Staff/Bergen Tax Commissioner Chris Eilert tells the Record:
"We've never done any business with the company, the individual partners listed or their other companies," he said. "It looks like a fishing expedition."
Last week's round of subpoena's, when the US Attorney hit twelve towns instead of just one, looked more like a fishing expedition. Wood-Ridge was apparently the only municipality to receive a subpoena on Friday, so there's a good chance Chris Christie's office was looking for something specific. |
