The latest press release from Andrews for Senate:

ANDREWS DECLARES URGENT NEED FOR TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS ALONG ROUTE 17 CORRIDOR

Sarlo, saying the improvements were five-to 10-year projects, said New Jersey needed someone in the U.S. Senate "with the energy, vigor and commitment to see these projects through, somebody who will stand up on the Senate floor and articulate this issue for us."

If you are interested in the actual plan, do click through, because there's actually a lot of "real" content.

Part of me thinks that's hilarious. (0.00 / 0)
Part of me wonders how the hell you noticed that.

Part of me feels like this is becoming the Jersey equivalent of Hillary Derangement Syndrome, regardless of whether or not it's justified.

A fourth part of me still thinks that's hilarious.

Sarlo and Andrews: Imperfect Together... (4.00 / 1)
Andrews, who is seeking the Democratic Senate nomination in the June 3 primary, was joined by state Sen. Paul Sarlo at the intersection of Route 17 and Union Avenue to push for the traffic improvements, which they said would reduce congestion, flooding and pollution throughout the heavily traveled area. Sarlo represents parts of Bergen County and has been a vocal proponent of the funding.

Certainly we've all seen our share of corruption here. And I'll admit everything on this particular deal could be on the up and up.
But my question is why don't our representatives know better? Don't they understand that given this environment, the appearance of impropriety is almost as relevant as corruption itself. From Gov. Corzine on down, our representatives seem to have the 'Tin Ear' h/t Thurman.

Today I give you Sen. Paul Sarlo, COO and chief engineer, of the firm that won the bid for construction of the meadowlands rail terminal. Coincidentally, the terminal is in the Senator's district and his firm was NOT the lowest bidder.
