The DFA Training Academy Returns to New Jersey

by: Jeff Gardner

Fri Apr 18, 2008 at 12:06:30 PM EDT

The DFA Training Academy is coming to New Jersey - next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27 - and you're invited! This exciting 2-day campaign training is taking place on the beautiful campus of Monmouth University, and will also feature a fun social event in Red Bank on Saturday night. Registering is easy!

DFA Chair Jim Dean will be here, along with top campaign consultants with decades of experience to give you the skills to run a winning campaign. Topics include: field planning, voter contact, fundraising, communications, volunteer recruitment and more.

It's a tremendous opportunity for candidates, campaign staff, volunteers, activists and anyone who wants to learn from the best at one of the most fun, inspiring and informative trainings you will ever attend.

As the saying goes: "You have the power, now learn the skills!"

So, what are you waiting for? RSVP now!

Well worth it (4.00 / 2)
I attended one of these DFA Training Academies last March. It was worth every penny. If you don't sign up today, you're making a huge mistake!

Are you a candidate? (0.00 / 0)
One of the most interesting things we've ever done in a DFA Training was convene candidates, some mentors and allies into a room for a little while in a session just for them.

We're thinking about doing that again, so we put out a call to those already signed up to let us know if they're running. I'm surprised how many are.

With field planning, targeting, fundraising,  voter contact, event planning, message development, working with media, voter file, GOTV, issues organizing, canvassing, call time, and precinct organizing (whew) covered (partial list) you can see how this fully-packed but deeply fun weekend can sharpen your skills if you're running, or help you organize behind a candidate you care about.

Can't wait.

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.
