Sean Hannity Gets His Swastika in a Twist Over Hal Turner

by: Steven Hart

Mon Mar 24, 2008 at 04:06:09 PM EDT

How entertaining to see Sean Hannity's white sheets getting a tug over his relationship with Hal Turner, North Jersey's favorite neo-Nazi flake and Hannity's onetime BFF. Newshounds has the story here.

Cross posted at The Opinion Mill.

I already posted a diary about the time I met Hal Turner ten years ago when he was Murray Sabrin's campaign manager for governor on the Libertarian ticket.  I didn't like him then, and subsequent events prove me correct.  As far as Sabrin is concerned, he's got some explaining to do about his relationship with Turner.

We've had nearly eight years of Bush dumming down the intellectual capacity of the American people and numbing down our capacity for healthy emotions (like hope and faith and charity).  If we stay on the Bush/Hannity track we will have become a soul dead people.

Hannity,  and all those who are relying on Obama to somehow "self destruct" in the face of all this stupid bullshit are going to be more and more disappointed as time goes by.

Obama has learned something from the Swiftboating of Kerry.

It's a long time between now and November.

The thing about lies is that, no matter how compelling/"powerful" they may seem at first; they can't stand up to the light of truth based reason.

Obama is no Farrakhan or Wright.  He is his own man with his own views.

The American people have seen enough of this kind of crap.

I truly believe that we are beginning to see the early stages of a transformation of the body politic's consciousness.

I hope Obama continues to ignore the "conventional wisdom" and gives us a real/thought out heart felt substantial speech like this every week from now on;  all the way through January of 2017!

I would love to see Obama challenge the talking heads of the right wing hate squad to a series of one on one extended debates; say three hours each.

Of course we would need fair and rigid time controls and a team of balanced moderators....say Phil Donahue and Brit Hume.

Imagine bullytrolls like Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage and O'Reilly actually trying to go toe to toe with someone of Obama's stature!

I know, that's not likely to happen, but I bet that the results would be great for America.

I just think he would do better quicker if he took the dastardly bullies head on.

The dark empty hell hole of a space where the heart of the Republican party would be (if they had one) is occupied by hate media.

We all need to stop cursing that darkness; and lighting up lots and lots of bright candles in that space.

The whole "rationale" for the McCain/Bush campaign is rooted in fear and ignorance and threats of death and destruction.    The same is true of the "campaign" of the crazed bastards behind Al Qaeda.   These two seemingly opposed forces are functionally two sides of the same coin.   It's all about hate and fear for those poor demented folk.

We don't have to go that way.   There's lots more power in love and courage.

The most potent/effective tactic for genuinely winning "the war on terror" is to drain the swamp of pverty, injustice and hatred that it feeds off of.

All of the worlds great spiritual teachings are based on the practical existential power of love and the manifestation of that love through acts of common human decency.

Barack Obama has the potential to be the greatest president we've ever known; my prayers are with him.

promote hatred for profit. Hal Turner is New Jersey's David Duke.
Appealing to the worst fears and lowest instincts is the Republican strategy and has been since Nixon's Southern Strategy in 68. Their underlying message has been and remains: We're bigots and so are you, vote Republican. Bottom feeding will continue until the food supply at the bottom becomes extinct. The Republicans have successfully exploited the great dumbing down by getting morons to vote against their own best interests.
What's the difference between Republican politicians and a catfish?
One has whiskers and stinks, the other is a fish.

Restore democracy and the Constitution for which it stands.
