Quinnipiac Poll: Clinton: 48%, Obama 43%

by: Juan Melli

Mon Feb 04, 2008 at 08:16:56 AM EST

Game on.
"Sen. Obama has put together a coalition of blacks and independents to dramatically narrow the gap in just the last few days in New Jersey, but the big question remains: Will there be enough of these new, young, first time voters showing up to pull a surprise on Super Tuesday?" said Clay F. Richards, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
Overall, Clinton is ahead 48%-43% and leads 54%-36% among women and 56%-36% among white voters. Obama leads 51%-40% among men and 67%-22% among black voters.

The poll was conducted between Jan 30 and Feb 3 and has a margin of error of +/- 4.3%.

if Obama can keep pace with the Hillmeister, then anything can happen.   it's the delegates, baby.

Judging from these numbers, Mrs Clinton is gonna have to pry every last delegate out of NJ's skeptical hands.

did I miss it? (1.50 / 2)
Did I miss the post where we voted that BlueJersey would become the voice for the Obama campaign?

Do what? (0.00 / 0)
If you consider this pro-Obama propaganda, then there are a lot of worried Hillary supporters out there.

It's a reputable poll where Hillary is still ahead but the gap is narrowing.  It is still the work of tomorrow that will determine what the final results are.

Re: (0.00 / 0)
Blue Jersey exists because we have opinions on politics and we want to share them with others. I and others happen to think Barack Obama would make a great president. Other people think Clinton should be president. This is a political blog, not an impartial news entity.
