Al Gore endorses marriage equality on Current  TV:

I think it's wrong for the government to discriminate against people because of that person's sexual orientation.

I think that gay men and women ought to have the same rights as heterosexual men and women, to make contracts, to have hospital visiting rights, to join together in marriage, and I don't understand why it is considered by some people to be a threat to heterosexual marriage to allow it by gays and lesbians.

A Nice Sentiment (0.00 / 0)
Made on his own channel.

But you know what? No one is going to listen to him this year.

The cause for which he's won his Nobel, global warming? 3 questions out of more than 3000 asked during the presidential debates. Global warming is off the radar this year.

If Al Gore had put his money where his mouth is -- by running for the office he was elected to in 2000 -- then maybe we'd pay attention.

Sorry, Al.

I Understand How You Feel, However... (4.00 / 1)
.....the burden of becoming active and responsible toward the GW crisis can't rest on Gore's head alone.

We, all of us, have to do all we can.....and I sure know that I have failed that test, so far.

Could Gore have made a much bigger impact by running for the presidency?   Yes; but that's his choice.

I think we should allocate our disdain toward the Bush administration and its patrons who are actively involved in spewing greenhouse gases for profit and funding massive global PR campaigns to deny GW and to de-spirit the environmental movement with all manner of sneaky cynical tactics.

If Al Gore disappeared tomorrow; he's done his share, and more.  While, I understand and even share your disappointment; that is far outweighed by my appreciation and gratitude for Gore's contributions.
