Update: The results are in, and Ron Paul trounced:

Novick says there were 207 total votes (I'm only counting 176). Duncan Hunter's votes aren't included below...he got about 7 votes, plus some people may have left early.

Ron Paul: 72.7% (128)
Fred Thompson: 15.3% (27)
Rudy 9ui11iani: 8.0% (14)
Mike Huckabee: 2.3% (4)
John McCain: 1.1% (2)
Barack Obama: 0.6% (1) (Joey Novick, who paid to attend the straw poll, wrote in a vote for Obama, though they did not announce it in the totals.)

Huckabee on UN withdrawal: "About the UN. It needs to reigned in, We pay too much. We need to make the oil rich nations to pay more. I work in midtown NYC. And I can't get to my office when the NYC police are escorting someone from an oil rich nation to the UN, who is going to criticize us. That has got to stop."

Waaahhh! For someone in politics, they sure are a bit thin-skinned. Gosh, imagine someone criticizing us! Oh the horror!!! Clowns, stay out of the kitchen.

Well, I guess our Republican friends don't like to have institutional power candidates stuffed down their throats any more than we do.

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.

These numbers will be about as indicative of the February 5 results as our caucus.

That said, if John Edwards and Ron Paul are still in the race on February 5, I would not be shocked to see Paul get more votes in the Republican primary than Edwards gets in the Democratic primary.

Today's results and next week's results in SC should prove once and for all that Edwards is finished. He can get out now and help Obama get a big win in SC or he can wait until he has completely embarrassed himself there and in the February 5 states.
