Gordon Johnson Supports Lyndon LaRouche

by: BlueBergen

Disturbing:  http://www.northjers...

Here are the numbers:  http://www.campaignm...

Gordon Johnson gave money to Lyndon LaRouche.

Lyndon LaRouche runs a radical/hate group that has called for the creation of a transatlantic bridge.  Mr. LaRouche has actually stated that the "Jews" control American foreign policy and are somehow responsible for 9/11.
http://en.wikipedia....

Gordon Johnson claims he liked LaRouche's grassroots movement.

This is the twilight zone.

So...... what do you think?

Johnson apologizes for LaRouche contribution (0.00 / 0)
Johnson apologizes for LaRouche contribution:
Assemblyman Gordon Johnson apologized today for donating $1,850 to controversial political activist Lyndon LaRouche in 2005 and 2006.

"Had I been aware of the LaRouche record of anti-Semitism I obviously would not have made my contributions," said Johnson, who will ask for a refund.

"I have spent my entire life opposing anti-Semitism, racism and all forms of hate; this regrettable episode only furthers my resolve to fight bigotry of all stripes. I sincerely and humbly apologize to those whom I have hurt."

What a bizarre contribution, though.

UPDATE:  As Juan Melli pointed out, Gordon Johnson has apologised.  In his apology he stated that he did not know about LaRouche's Anti-Semitism.  Did he know about his homophobia and racism?

"LaRouche charged that the federal government allowed AIDS to spread because it didn't want to "estrange the votes of a bunch of faggots and cocaine sniffers, the organized gay lobby, as it's called in the United States. (I don't know why they're `gay,' they're the most miserable creatures I ever saw!)" LaRouche later suggested that history would not judge harshly those who beat gay people to death with baseball bats to stop the spread of AIDS."

"A LaRouche network newspaper insert distributed in Illinois declared that "as a category, gays and lesbians do not represent a valid voting constituency, and neither do prostitutes, drug pushers, child molesters, warlocks, witches, pornographers, or others who are morally equivalent."  From publiceye.org

More info on this hate group can be found here:  http://www.publiceye...

So all of the Johnson defenders out there, so far your defense has been that he "got conned."

If any BCDO politician were to give money to a group that produces literature saying such things about African Americans, Jews, Asians and Gays what would Johnson's running mates say?

only take from the taxpayer and give to their friends.  So, your little thought experiment fails.

One Vote.  Yours.  It really does matter.

Joe Ferriero and Clara Nibot: Perfect Together...

Nick Lento

They say, "Politics Makes Strange Bedfellows" but this picture is wretchedly obscene to the point of stupendosity cubed. :-)

Both of these characters are slobbering so desperately to say or do anything to diminish the reformers in the 37th that they don't realize how transparently obvious is their own hypocrisy.

Clara has never in her life cared that the Republican party is in bed with the Moonies and Joe is in charge of a morally and ethically corrupt machine that is guilty of systemic legalized bribery.

What an pathetic and unholy alliance, eh?

From Frederick Douglass

If there is no struggle there is no progress......Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.

Vetting donations.... (4.00 / 1)
Waiting for a letter from Boss Joe saying that he cannot support Hillary because she accepted, returned and apologized for taking $850,000 from fugitive lawbreaker Norman Hsu.  I guess Mrs. Clinton didn't adequately vet Hsu, although such a significant breakdown in her campaign's information and financial systems would seemingly undermine her fitness as a presidential candidate.

Come to think of it, how many of us vet organizations (and those behind them) when we donate or vote? A lot of Nixon and Bush voters had (and have) remorse!  Do enough Bergen County Dems realize that they are being scammed by self-serving Party "leadership?"

The real fools are those who buy into the talking points sourced by a pay-to-play Boss  feigning moral outrage over inappropriate donations and lapses in judgment.

Is that all you got? (0.00 / 0)
Your entire argument against voting for Johnson is a few contributions less than $500?

Give me a break.  I didn't know that Larouch supported anti-Semetic views either.  Larouch supporters are always seen outside the post offices around here and their only message in the past few years seems to simply be Impeach Cheney.  Not a bad idea. But the racist and anti-semetic message is not visible.  These folks have caught me outside the post office more than once.  Based on everything I have seen and heard from local Larouche supporters, many are probably misled just as Johnson was.

I never got the impression that they were anti-semetic, but like many, I never had the time or inclination to read the  written material they give out.

One Vote.  Yours.  It really does matter.

a few contributions (4.00 / 1)
Stop trying to defend the indefensible.  "A few contributions less than $500" to any fascist hate group is not excusable.  No one believes that Johnson is an antisemite.  Not even the BCDO boys are making that case.

This was really horrible judgement on his part and everyone knows it, including his running mates.  That is a real problem.  Your defense that he did not know much about them does not help his case.  It is really stupid for anyone to give that much money to a group he knows nothing about.

If I were you, I would let this sleeping dog lie.

La Rouche - certifiable (0.00 / 0)
I'm assuming that Gordon Johnson just didn't do his homework before doing anything that sounds like support of LaRouche. La Rouche has been at the top of the wingnut list for many years. During his many failed attempts to be recognized during the 1980s as a presidential candidate, he was convicted of credit card fraud. The guy is widely known as being more than paranoid.  Among other things, he has been carrying on the tradition of the now defunct John Birch Society in accusing everything and everyone of being a communist plot (including fluoridation of the public water supply).

John Birch Society (0.00 / 0)
Sadly, the John Birch Society is not actually defunct. Spend some time west of Pennsylvania or south of Virginia and count the number of bumper stickers and billboards urging the US to leave the United Nations. That's all paid for by the Birchers. Closer to home, go to a street fair in any one of our northern counties. The Birchers will most likely have a table and on it will be some really vile stuff on the UN, immigration, the media, etc.  It's pretty gross.

There was/is a big one up in Jackson. Don't know if it's still there.

I was probably being too provincial, talking about their presence in the northern counties. I wasn't aware of the billboard in Jackson, but I'm sadly not surprised to learn of it.

Distraction and Deception: A Lame Game.... (4.00 / 1)
The Nibot/Ferriero axis can do nothing more than to feign "shock" in this case.

In order to be truly morally indignant; one would have to have a shred of morailty to start with, eh?  The BCDO does not have that qualification; therefor it's critique of Johnson rings false.
