I Hate New Jersey Nazis

Donald Cresitello doesn't deserve to be a Democrat.  This isn't about the idiotic speech he gave at the pro-racist rally in Morristown:
When he took the stage, the mayor, who is seeking to deputize local police officers as federal immigration agents, condemned his opponents for stalling his efforts.

"How dare they, how dare they question my right as mayor of this community to move this program forward?" he asked.

Then, as counter-protesters began chanting loudly, "Shame, shame, shame on you!" in an effort to drown the mayor out, Cresitello retaliated with a warning.

"To the Communists across the street, and the Marxists, we know your motives, and we will not continue to let you go forward with your intent to take over our country," he said.

That's pretty stupid.  I won't even go into the obvious lack of academic skills the Mayor displays there, but the real shame - the real reason why Donald Cresitello doesn't deserve to be a Democrat - lies with who he is willing to share the stage with.  It lies with the groups he lends credibility to when he opens his ill-informed, uneducated, moronic pie-hole.

The Mayor's event was promoted by Stormfront, a "white pride" website that exists to promote hatred of anyone whose nether regions aren't lilly white.
Organized by the ProAmerica Society of Mount Olive, some blamed illegal immigrants for car accidents, drug smuggling, murders and job loss. Others said illegal immigrants are diluting the American culture.

"I will never accept English as a second language," said Daniel Smeriglio, from Voice of the People USA, an activist group based in Pennsylvania. "You disgrace us."

What planet do these people live on?  Illegal immigrants are the ones who commit all these crimes?  Really?  Who has even discussed English as a SECOND LANGUAGE except for remedial classes to get people up to speed?

And this is who Donald Cresitello wants to lend the power of his office to?

Protesters attended yesterday's rally for various reasons. Morris Township resident Barbara Bock, 60, said she wanted to stop the drug gangs "coming across with border with drugs for our children."

Wow.  Why don't we go ahead and blame those filthy stinking Mexicans for the crucifixion as well?  Just get it over with.

Look at the hate-filled comments in response to Thurman Hart's (aka "Xpatriated Texan") post at NJ VOICES that actually begins by giving room for people to disagree without blaming it on racism.  What response does he get?  Racist, racist, racist, and don't forget the death wish at the bottom.

It hasn't taken Cresitello long to go from "law and order" to outright race-baiting.  He was elected because he promised to crack-down on illegal boarding houses that risked lives and health and contractor use of illegal labor.  I guess he couldn't justify his pay raise on his performance on those issues - two issues that could actually be enforced without unfairly targeting people on a racial basis.  He surely couldn't justify it on the basis that he knows what the hell he's doing.

I don't know if the Democratic Party has any means of censuring members or even throwing them out, but if we don't, then Donald Cresitello is the reason we need to make such rules.  I believe in building a "big tent" party - but my tent ends when it moves into racism and bigotry.  My tolerance ends when someone wants to blame all of our problems on "illegals" and to neglect actually doing things that could make a difference.

And, by the way, I don't care if it makes him a hero with the racist crowd.  I hope it does.  Hatred is never so powerless as when its stinking soul is laid bare.

Any Democrat running for any office in Morris County needs to make it clear that they do not support Donald Cresitello, or the hatred which he glories in, if not actually shares.  Governor Corzine, members of the Democratic State Committee - now is your time to show real leadership.  Throw Donald Cresitello out on his ear.

Too bad the Blues Bros (0.00 / 0)
didn't have the opportunity to drive through that rally.
