Quinnipiac Poll: Bush Hits Record Low 21%

by: Juan Melli

Thu Jul 05, 2007 at 07:55:31 AM EDT

A Quinnipiac University poll released today finds that New Jersey voters disapprove of the job President Bush is doing by a 74%-21% margin. Even 43% of the state's Republicans disapprove. The poll's margin of error is only 2.5%. The previous Quinnipiac poll in April had a 70%-25% disapproval so at this rate I'll be able to turn over the title of Mr. 17 in just a few months.

Clay Richards, assistant director of the poll, noted "President Bush's approval rating has hit an all time low of just 21 percent - lower than we've ever measured for a President in any state or national poll."

Quinnipiac also polled the Presidential preferences of Democrats and Republicans. Clinton and Giuliani still lead their respective parties. Sadly, they included imaginary candidate Al Gore, so the results are meaningless and not worth reporting. I hope in the future they provide a poll of candidates who are actually running.

In matchups, Giuliani beats Clinton and Obama, while Clinton and Obama would defeat both McCain and Fred Thompson.

If even 43% of Rs don't like Bush, we should start linking them all to Bush in any way we can.  Votes, war support, donations, etc.

Do it to the Congresscritters now in preparation for 2008.

Limbo Rock? How LOW can Georgie go?

Now that Bush's Teflon sheen is fully worn off, we need to start sanding down Rudy.

Who are those 21% (0.00 / 0)
I wonder who those 21% are.  If he's at 21/75 here, I figure he's around 15% in MA, RI, and NY.  Worst President ever.

Some of the presidential numbers concern me a little.  Clearly, only Rudy can play in NJ.  But his popularity in the state is strong.  In fact, I think he'd have a better chance to win NJ than NY (assuming Hillary is nominated, which I think is inevitable).

The 20th percentile of IQ (0.00 / 0)
equals about 88. (In case that's not clear, I'm saying that the bottom 20 percent of people measure 88 or lower on IQ tests).

It would be unkind to say, but hardly surprising to discover, that continued support for Pres. Bush and low IQ correlate directly ....

(It's snark but if you still feel the need to to argue with me, I believe the 88 = 20th percentile references the Stanford-Binet scale, in which an IQ of 100 correlates to the 50th percentile and 140 to the 99th).
