Who's in Districts 25, 26, 39, and 40?

Cheers from your northern neighbor. With campaigns sparse this coming year, I might be looking to cross the border and help out with some Northern New Jersey state races. In particular, I'm curious to see if there will be any viable challenges to the Republicans in Districts 25, 26, 39, and 40 (the four closes to my home in Orange County). Have there been any announced challengers yet? If so (even if not), who of the incumbents are most vulnerable?

Senate/Assembly District 40 is solidly Republican... (0.00 / 0)

Any challengers that go up against the 3 incumbents are always token opposition, and will continue to be for some time... it will take at least another decade before the races in this district begin to become competitive.

We're encouraging Dana Wefer to run in the 25th. If we manage to Draft Dana, it will be a race to watch.

Bergen County attorney, Joseph Ariyan is running against Cardinale for Senate in the 39th. I don't know much about him yet - only as an attorney and that he served on the District II-A Ethics Committee from about 2002 to 2005 (not positive of the years). He's having a fundraiser later this month with Congressman Pallone as a special guest. I'd really like to see Cardinale gone.

Moderate Senator Bob Martin is retiring.

He will be replaced by far-right wing assemblyman Joe Pennacchio.

The Republican Primary for Pennacchio seat features Larry Casha, a conservative running hard to the right, against Attila the Hun, who is running under the pseudonym "Jay Webber".
