Way to go, Mitch! (0.00 / 0)
Barbara Buono clearly doesn't want to risk having to face Mitch Manzella in a primary next year.  I'm still waiting to see where Nick Scutari stands on the issue.

The comedy stylings of taxandspendliberal.  He's here all week, don't forget to tip your server...

Albano's response is the most encouraging:
"I would have liked to have seen the Supreme Court finish the whole thing out instead of dumping it on us. I believe everybody should have equal rights regardless of race, religion or sexuality. When it comes to the marriage thing, it's a tough decision. I couldn't give you a decision right now which way I would go."

In 2004, Bush won Albano's district, which is basically all of Cape May plus Vineland & Millville, by 5 points.  Albano is a freshman, and will likely be a top target of the GOP in the 07 cycle.  Based on his statement, it looks like he really wants to support marriage equality.  If Albano gets behind the Assembly bill, it will provide an example for some of the finger-in-the-wind legislators from safer districts.

No stalling tactics for the bosses (0.00 / 0)
It's important to make it completely clear to the old politicians like Dick Codey & Ray Lesniak that if they dance around this & stall (Codey saying about how they need to act on taxes first), they will risk serious intra-party divisions that won't be soon forgiven, & instigate the "reform" Democrat movement they've long feared & have managed to suppress through a manipulated & fixed primary system.

A Valuable Service! (0.00 / 0)
Please keep this up, Scott. It not only identifies our friends, it helps us target our enemies.

If the sexual and gender minorities of New Jersey come together to defeat Cardinale, DeCroce, McHose, Gregg, Dancer, Doherty, Carroll, and Merkt, it will be impossible for the majority to deny us marriage equality.
