Stender Goes Up On TV on Iraq

by: huntsu

Tue Sep 26, 2006 at 01:49:35 PM EDT

(YouTube is being a pain in the tukus -- hope you can watch these. - promoted by huntsu)

Linda Stender (NJ-7) goes up on TV today with an ad featuring veteran Gordon from Flemington, NJ.  It starts of noting that Mike Ferguson voted against a $1500 bonus for soldiers serving in Iraq, then moves on to the "Staying the Course message.

Tell Blue Jersey what you think in the comments.

There's another ad after the jump.  The campaign says they will run both of these for a while, with more ads to follow.

This ad is about Mike Ferguson's votes to give tax breaks to oil companies while they are making record profits, and to protect said companies from being sued for price gouging.

These are almost as bad as some of the ads Steve Brozak ran two years ago. No creativity, cookie-cutter ads, and the timing of the price-gouging ad....wow. I hope whoever runs two years from now doesn't hire the same consultants who made this, but I'm not holding my breath.

next time, hire Mike Stark (0.00 / 0)
he made this for $1400:

my eyes started tearing up watching this anti-Allen ad. I did not feel any emotion in the anti-Ferguson ad. And I'm a HUGE Linda Stender fan! Not sure how the fence-sitters are supposed to be moved by this.

I hope there's one in the can on Social Security and another one on Medicare D and the big pharmas' contributions to Ferguson.  (They gave him lots of money, and he returned the favor by giving them even more...)

If "Stay the Course" Furgeson (0.00 / 0)
is taking Halliburton money he should be classified as a war profiteer.

What that company has done is tantamout to organized crime.

A Million little dollars... (0.00 / 0)
Poor job editing as well... I thought that I'd be the party pooper commenting on how un-moved I am by this commercial, but I guess I'm in the majority.

It's sad to see a million dollar campaign just waste money on poor production value.  Its about the war, yes... but this does not capture that message at all.

How about TESTING ads before they go to air?  Thumbs down.
