Just when you thought Tom Kean Sr had no credibility left to lose, we get another bombshell. Tonight Keith Olbermann played a clip of Tom Kean Sr - a paid consultant for the ABC 9/11 docudrama - talking about his role in the movie. Kean explains how he had the power to make changes to any inaccurate aspects of the movie script (emphasis mine):

"The writer and I worked together on the project so that he would share the script with me. And I could look it over from the point of view of the accuracy of the events that he was portraying, and where I thought suggestions needed to be made or changes needed to be made, I could do that.
And ABC and the writer in particular were very, very sensitive to that. And any time I said that "this isn't the way it happened" or "I don't think it happened this way," they were very, very good to make changes that were necessary."

We've learned that the movie is full of innacuracies, mischaracterizations and outright fabrications, which even Kean acknowledges. Fabrications that Kean had the power to single-handedly correct, but didn't.

Hey, the guy's kid is running for Senate and wants to join the rest of the Repugs in Washington. Of course Senior is going to go along with the right-wing propaganda machine--that's the only way Junior could possibly be elected.

What is disgraceful is that ABC claims it's an "educational" film and is trying to inflict it on school kids--"teaching materials" and all. And the right-wing blathers about the so-called "liberal media." Shame on ABC!

The trick is to expose the lies and make them backfire before the election.

I don't think ABC will pull the show; but maybe we can shame them into providing a few hours of "equal time" to rebut the lies and distortions.

In any event, the Dems should make this into a major issue in the fall campaign. This kind of media/government propaganda operation is reminiscent of Joseph Goebbles.

Its purpose is to fire up the base by attacking their favorite demon, Clinton's dick. Let's face it, they already know who will and who won't be tuning in. ABC has made a Faustian deal and will forever be subject to Ku Klux Karl's desires. If we ever questioned the leanings of the corporate media, that question has been answered loud and clear. Spread the word to all free thinking patriotic Americans that Disney is in league with a fascist takeover of our government. Picture this: Ku Klux Karl having sex with an over sized talking mouse.
