Thank You Netroots

(Stender is taking the campaign to Ferguson. Help her out! - promoted by huntsu)

I want to thank the netroots for being so generous to me and my campaign.  In the last week the Netroots endorsement alone raised more than $7,000 from more than 400 people.  That's amazing!  I keep telling our volunteers that it doesn't take a lot from any one person, but it takes a little from everyone.  This is a perfect example of that message.

I also want to thank all of you who wrote about our new literature, radio and television ads, and site called Why Mike?  Why? we launched yesterday.  One Kossack even suggested that we Google bomb the site using Mike Ferguson as the linking text.  I like it, so I'm doing it here!

New Jersey's 7th district is a hard nut to crack for a Democrat.  We've been trying for quite a few years, and redistricting in 2001 didn't make it any easier for us.  Our campaign knows that we are going to get out-spent by Mike Ferguson, but there is no way we are going to get out-worked.

In addition to the netroots pushing our message on the blogs and raising money for us (almost $20K now on ActBlue alone!), we have a team of grassroots volunteers making calls, going door-to-door, writing letters to the editor and basically working their tails off every day of the week.  It is a powerful combination that will, I believe, spell victory on November 7.

Linda Stender :: Thank You Netroots
I plan to post diaries here and on other important blogs throughout the campaign telling you about my experiences talking to people, debating Mike Ferguson and fighting for NJ-07.  After we have won in November – and by win I mean not only my race but taking back the House and Senate and restoring accountability to our government – I will continue to post diaries and work with both the netroots and the grassroots to make a change in America.

It is important that I get your feedback on our progress, so please feel free to write to us at netroots@lindastenderforcongress.com with your opinions, critiques and advice.  If anyone wants to volunteer just write to us at volunteer@lindastenderforcongress.com or call us at (908) 322-1996.

Again, thank you so much for your support and for your work.  It's time for a change, and together we're going to make it happen.

Fergo is vulnurable (0.00 / 0)
and Linda is a good choice to give NJ 7 real representation. Fergo is the indicted and disgraced DeLay's NJ lap dog. He'll rubber stamp what ever DeLay wants. We don't need a representative in Congress beholden to a crook from Texas. And for you veterans out there who vote for rubber stamp Republicans, look at what DeLay did to Chris Smith for demanding an increase in veterans benefits. Ferguson and DeLay, perfect together.
A vote for Linda Stender is a vote to restore checks and balances and free and fair elections.

Restore democracy and the Constitution for which it stands.

nice to hear from Linda.... (0.00 / 0)
....i hope she'll let us be her megaphone in our small way.
