Air America moves right

Track recent changes at Air America with this handy chart.

WFMU's Beware of the Blog gives a long-winded and sorta confusing take on Air America's move to the right (perhaps literally as well as figuratively) as it slides to 1600.  Al I care about is that the station's signal will be even weaker on my car stereo.

It depends on where you're listening (0.00 / 0)
The new station actually has greater transmitter power during the daytime, but the patterns vary due to other factors.  In some areas, here in Northern NJ for instance, 1600 comes in more clearly than 1190 during the day.  If you're listening in the evening, though, it's going to be rough unless you're close to their transmitter -- 1600 drops to 5kw in the evenings.

To me, the most outrageous rumor yet is that they plan to keep WWRL's morning drive show intact, including Armstrong Williams.  I think I'd go back to Curtis & Kuby at that point.
