That's how Garden State Equality's leader Steven Goldstein described the pace of the marriage equality effort in New Jersey. He spoke briefly at today's legislative press conference in Trenton:

It warms my heart to see Steven happy. (0.00 / 0)
I am not the only Blue Jersey blogger to remember so painfully Steven's  incredible heartbreak when the vote was lost before.  I think the photo of him at the last vote was the most heart-wrenching image I have ever seen posted here.  I think it really touched people in a way that they had never expected it would - and helped change some hearts and minds.  Steven will also go down in history as an incredible civil rights leader - as will Senator Weinberg.  I am incredibly humbled to know both of them.

One Vote.  Yours.  It really does matter.
