According to NJ.com Harry Carson is considering a self-financed run for Congress. Woo hoo!

Let him move to CD3... (1.00 / 2)
...and run.  They seem to like dumb jocks in that part of the state.  He and Carl Lewis can face off in a dumb jock primary election with the winner to face the dumb jock incumbent congressman.

Nice (4.00 / 1)
And was Bill Bradley a dumb jock?

Your shilling for Rothman seems to have warped your perspective.

I seriously doubt that either Harry Carson or Carl Lewis has a bio like this.

Bradley was born and raised in a suburb of St. Louis and excelled at basketball from an early age. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and did well academically, was an all-county and all-state basketball player in high school. He was offered 75 college scholarships, but declined them all to attend Princeton University. He earned a gold medal as a member of the 1964 Olympic basketball team and was the NCAA Player of the Year in 1965. After graduating in 1965, he attended Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship, delaying a decision for two years on whether or not to play in the NBA.

While at Oxford, Bradley played one season of professional basketball in Europe, and eventually decided to join the New York Knicks in the 1967-68 season, after serving six months in the Air Force Reserve. He spent his entire ten-year professional basketball career playing for the Knicks, winning two championship titles. Retiring in 1977, he ran for a seat in the United States Senate the following year, from his adopted home state of New Jersey. He was re-elected in 1984 and 1990, left the Senate in 1997, and was an unsuccessful candidate for the 2000 Democratic presidential nomination.

If you want to get excited about the likes of Carl Lewis and Harry Carson, that is your business.  I would take Assemblyman Troy Singleton and Assemblywoman Connie Wagner any day over either of them.

Since when does supporting someone equate with shilling for them?  Why does anyone who disagrees with you suddenly become your enemy?  You and I agree on more than we disagree, so I think that it would serve both of us well to chill out on the nastiness.

Carl Lewis is no dumb jock (0.00 / 0)
Just because someone is an athlete doesn't mean he's dumb. Runyan is dumb on his own merits. Lewis runs a foundation, worked for the UN, and is a smart businessman. Listen to some of the video of him I've posted on Blue Jersey before you pass judgement. Sure, he's got an ego the size of Mount Everest, but what politician doesn't?

And Harry Carson would make... (0.00 / 0)
...a good Congressman... why?

I'll have to admit, I know little or nothing about him.
