Bush Hits a New Low in NJ

by: Juan Melli

Tue Jul 18, 2006 at 04:05:55 PM EDT

An FDU/Public Mind poll released today finds that just 24% of New Jerseyans think the country is moving in the right direction, while 65% think it's on the wrong track, an all-time low. Only 29% rate Bush as doing an "Excellent" or "Good" job while 71% say he's doing "Only Fair" or "Poor" - also a new record. Only 33% still cling to the absurd fantasy that going to war with Iraq was the right course, while 59% disagree. Bush's dive into oblivion shows no signs of reversing:

OK. So someone help me with the math here- (0.00 / 0)
24% of New Jerseyans think the country is moving in the right direction. And Scott Garrett is essentially a Bush administration proxy:

No to the extension fo the VRA.
No to an increase in the minimum wage.
No to child safety locks on guns.
No to aid for Katrina victims.
Stem cell research- you're kidding, right?

So, my question is, how the hell does this guy still have a job representing New Jersey? Do all of those 24%ers live in the 5th?

is NOT moving in the right direction. (0.00 / 0)
duh.

't would be loverly if Ferguson and Garrett got booted out. The dunderhead in chief says he intends to veto that stem cell research bill. That, along with the economy, national security (piss poor performance), might actually make an impression on voters, if the Democrats are consistent and open up a mouth.

I don't believe in taking anything for granted, of course, but the veto of the stem cell bill by the president could be a really good thing for the "reality based" constituency, and I do believe in making the most of any advantage that presents itself.

I wanna see Bush/Cheney hit bottom, and they should be tied around the necks of all the Republicans. The Republicans should be inextricably tied to the lousy, disastrous policies of this regime in Washington, and should not be permitted to distance themselves.

Bush on Stem Cell Research will clearly reverse the trend (0.00 / 0)
Well, I think the President's position on stem cell research will reverse the trend.

Just kidding.
