What, Exactly, Is "Jersey-Style", Governor?

  I don't think that "Jersey-style" in that context is being used to mock our State.  I read it as meaning our blunt, tough, and aggressive attitude towards things.

Maybe you are right, Leidse. It was probably a joke. But how else should the governor's comments be perceived?

If the people of Iowa don't vote for Mitt Romney, what exactly would Governor Christie do if he went back to Iowa "Jersey-style?"

It's not like he can retaliate by barging into the Iowa governor's office and slashing employee benefits and education funding. He can't go to Iowa and say, "I'm going to cut funding to all your precious programs because you didn't do what I demanded of you."

I have no choice but to think that he was making a reference to the 'Sopranos' or something else that is outside the realm of politics. And to people outside of NJ, that can be really scary.
