I'm so glad to read Kevin Riordan's A quiet but determined occupier ...

I first heard Edward Anthony's deep, calm voice on the Occupy Trenton live stream, talking economics. The very fact that OWS has opened up a national conversation about where our money is going is to me, the great success of whatever this may become. When I finally met Edward Anthony, he was alone at the occupation on a chilly and windy October day. We had a good conversation and I watched him greet people who would wander over for a chat. The WWII Memorial site of the occupation was obviously well-treated, and Edward Anthony showed a visitor the monument, and talked about the people it honored with respect. It was shortly after the state's confiscation of their supplies, and he was wearing only a nice - but not warm enough - sweater. His coat, he explained, was one of the things that had been taken.

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.
