New Jersey Exceptionalism

by: deciminyan

Tonight, Governor Christie will visit the shrine of the second worst president in my lifetime. From the Ronald Reagan library, he will pontificate about American Exceptionalism.

Even as he prepares to speak, his own state of New Jersey is crumbling. Today, once again, the New Jersey Transit rail lines are experiencing severe delays due to "switching problems" in Newark. Christie and his ilk are ignoring infrastructure needs like mass transit while kowtowing to millionaires. He raised taxes prices on those who depend on NJ Transit to get to and from their jobs, while cutting or cancelling job-creating infrastructure projects.

Mr. Governor - instead of raising megabucks for your patrons, how about staying home and addressing New Jersey's real problems? We can be an exceptional state, but your policies are a race to the bottom.

You are right on Deci... (0.00 / 0)
This guy has not done a single positive thing for NJ since he took office, yet the "media" and the REP CONs paint him as a savior of our poor rundown State.... We are 48 out of 50 in Education and he attacks our teachers and our schools. He supposedly "fixed" the public Pension system but still has not contributed a penny to the the State share he promised to ante-up during passage of the Bill. He cut the Budget with his "Line item" veto and was proven wrong by OLS when Revenues came in as  they had predicted. He takes credit for capping Property Taxes however, nobody I know has seen any Tax relief....What gives?? I just do not see the Magic...Perhaps the Emperor has no Clothes..... Help me out here...

I don't agree with shortchanging the women's health services.

I'm just pointing out that at this point in the year, the gov.'s numbers certainly haven't been 'proven wrong' yet.
