Dear Tommy -- No Veto, No Override Vote

by: huntsu

Thu Jul 07, 2011 at 08:06:01 PM EDT

Hey, Tom. If you don't want the legislature to hold an override vote on the Governor's egregious use of the line item veto on the budget, then tell the Governor not to be an ass in using it.

The easiest way to keep from having to make hard votes like supporting the abusive and draconian cuts made by your Governor is to stand up to the bully and tell him to stop it already.

But you don't have the cajones, as you showed in the past.

What simple direct advice (4.00 / 1)
and good advice at that, huntsu! Monday we start the override votes.  Comon - there must be at least three of the Rs who can stand up for working men and women and their children in NJ!

Why would they capitulate anything? (4.00 / 2)
why would the GOP surrender anything when turncoats like Sweeney, Oliver and the rest of the Christiecrats are handing the state over to "Nordubato", one working class income at a time?

I have zero faith that a single GOPer would give an ounce of care what happens to the working class and poor in the state when the golden cup of Nordubato over-flows for them.

I respect you, Senator, please don't follow Sweeney down the road of political naivete`. The people of new Jersey are choking on the unrelenting and unrepentant republican assault on working class and poor familes and we need firebrands to start turn up the heat and stop playing "nice" with the facts and start speaking unfettered truth.

If we don't stand together, we fall alone
That didn't last long.

[ Parent ]
Appreciate the sentiment Senator (0.00 / 0)
but this party is not one. And we all know why.

[ Parent ]
Why should Republicans do anything (4.00 / 2)
that benefits the working class when their base is the wealthy elite oligarchy bent on returning to the Gilded Age.
Norcross and Adubato should be purged from the political landscape for gross and blatant corruption. Sweeny should be sued for legislative malpractice.

Restore democracy and the Constitution for which it stands.
