Christie Discovers How to Make Money in New Jersey

by: huntsu

Mon Feb 07, 2011 at 12:13:00 PM EST

Chris Christie has discovered a great way to fill the coffers of New Jersey without raising taxes.

First, you cut funding for education so people grow up without being able to do fundamental mathematics.

Then, you increase funding for Atlantic City casinos so all those people who can't do math come down to lose all their money.

It's this kind of innovative thinking that will put Christie in the White House.

N.J's cost per child (0.00 / 0)
is about 15,900 (2 highest ),the average being 9,600 .and our schools are still failing It appears were still spending too much ,don't you agree?..Money isn't the answer to all problems...http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/27/of-all-states-new-york-schools-spend-most-money-per-pupil/

But just cutting funding isn't the answer (0.00 / 0)
The Department of Education says it is less than $14K in 2009-2010.  http://www.state.nj.us/educati...  That's still a lot, and it could be lower, but the NYT number from 2006 is still off.

Just cutting funding without having a plan on how to fix education is a sure way to make things worse.  It surely cannot improve things.

Withholding money may work for a teenager overspending on clothes, but it doesn't help in this case.
