I can see Toms River from my house!

Yes. Sarah Palin is coming to New Jersey. She will be riding along with the Tea Party Express - yes, the folks whose spokesman said, "Racists have their own movement. It's called NAACP".

News of the Vice-President Governor of Alaska right-wing media darling came via Americans for Prosperity, the national conservative advocacy group which is led in New Jersey by former Governor's candidate Steve Lonegan.

Asbury Park Press is reporting Palin and the rest of the Tea Party Express will be in front of the Toms River Town Hall on Washington Street 8pm Sunday.

Expect to be called a Socialist.

ken bank wins (4.00 / 1)
And now I see ken bank beat me to the news by about two hours. Alas, I had my head in Hoboken's 4th Ward -  oy what a headache I have now.

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.

Why Toms River and not somewhere in the 6th? (0.00 / 0)
Does anybody else think that it is odd that Palin is not going to be in the district where Anna Little, the most high profile Tea Party candidate in the state, is running in a relatively competitive race against Frank Pallone, one of the most progressive Congressmen in the state?

It seems like an event like this should be in Ocean Grove, not Toms River.  Is it possible that Palin is not welcome in the 6th because of Little's decent polling numbers?

Someone should call Anna Little and Steve Lonegan and ask them about this.

TNuts angry at Little (0.00 / 0)
The unreconstructed Loneganistas are sore at Anna Little for campaigning with Christie instead of Sarah Palin.  The strategy is to turn out moderate Republicans (if there are any) and independents who voted for Christie.  The Palinistas will turn out and vote for Little wjether Palin campaigns with her or not.

Pallone would love to have Sarah Palin campaign for Anna Little.  It would be like an extra million dollars in his war chest.

I knew that there had to be a backstory (0.00 / 0)
Still.  Why Toms River?  What district is that in?  The 3rd?  Does Runyan want to campaign with Palin?  I guess that it makes some sense since the teabagging wingnuts have just jumped on the Runyan bandwagon when the Stefanogate story broke.  Standing with Palin could lock their support in for Runyan.  My town of Dunellen is pretty conservative.  I wish that she would come here to campaign.

No one seems to find it odd that this is on Halloween?  There's got to be a good story there...

More to the point:  she's missing the massive Toms River Halloween Parade -- a huge local event -- that's held the day before....

the witch will be here on Halloween.

Have you guys seen the Mother Jones cover attack of the 50 ft woman?  It's priceless.

I wish I could be there on Sunday to tell that chick to her face what I really think of her.  Is there a contingent from Blue Jersey, not afraid of the head stompers, to greet the half-Governor?

One Vote.  Yours.  It really does matter.

Sounds like culture warrior Sarah (0.00 / 0)
is here because Runyan is running against Adler - who has been openly endorsed by the NJ LGBT community in GSE.  If we care about our friends in the LGBT community, we should be watching this race closely and get there on Sunday if we can to show Sarah that the folks who care about the LGBT community outnumber the small-minded homophobic creeps in the Tea Party who want to take freedom, liberty and happiness AWAY from our friends.

One Vote.  Yours.  It really does matter.
