Listen to internet radio with Blue Jersey on Blog Talk Radio
BlueJerseyRadio

Each week, Blue Jersey Radio streams LIVE with Jersey's latest political buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your stimulating calls Number: (646) 652-2773.

Tonight it'll be roundtable-style with Adam Lambert and I joining Jeff to dish the dirt. And we welcome a very special guest: YOU! Our call-in guest are the wind beneath our wings and we love it when callers share their questions and their wisdom with us. That number again is (646) 652-2773 and we want you to call.

We hope you'll catch us live and call in, but we're podcas'table, too. You won't want to miss an episode - and of course, you never have to. Listen to them all on Blogtalkradio, or download any show on iTunes.

DADT (0.00 / 0)
Interesting discussion at the end of the show on DADT, but some of the blame for today's debacle belongs to the Democrats.

Lame show (0.00 / 0)
How about some planning, guys?  How can you start a show without a written list of agenda items.  Jay announces that he's going to host the show, then ask everyone else what they want to talk about?  Then there's strained silence?

And please, all the chatter about your personal lives--you are not my friends and you are not stars.  I just don't care.  I listen to the podcast to hear some talk about Jersey politics, and what I heard was aimless coffee shop chat.

What about Christie's back-and-forth on firefighter pensions?  What's going on with pay-to-lay reform?  What Democrats are in trouble in the election, and are there any chances for a pick-up this fall?  You mentioned the failure of the women's health override, but how about some discussion about what really happened?  The talk about Christie's relationship with the local press corps was pretty interesting and the show could use more of that inside chat.

We are starved in New Jersey for real information about what is happening around the state.  Up here in Bergen, all we get is how much the editor of the Record loves Christie.

And you have to have a guest scheduled for each show.  Hoping that someone interesting will call in yielded pathetic results.  We have lots and lots of local and State officials, and lots of activists in the State.  You surely can find one of them available to pick up a phone each Tuesday.

I sense that you are qualified and informed writers and commentators, but the podcast sounds aimless, unprepared and as if you think your audience will be fascinated by everything you say.  A modicum of preparation could make the show effective.  Judging by the two shows I've heard so far, it's just indulgent.

And please--I don't want to hear about potty training on a political podcast!
