Prince Charlie's Royal Tantrum

by: Thurman Hart

Fri Jun 02, 2006 at 07:07:52 AM EDT

"I don't understand. Why all of this coverage?" Epps continued. "Why are you attacking me? Don't you think it's overkill?"

NO!

It is not overkill!  It won't be overkill until you resign in disgrace and face prosecution for stealing public funds.  Don't you get that?  What you did (stealing) was wrong.  Grudgingly paying part of that money back doesn't change that.

Thurman Hart :: Prince Charlie's Royal Tantrum
Epps spent more than $5,000 on expensive meals, chauffeured limousines and posh hotels during a nine-day trip to England. The entire trip cost the district nearly $21,000.

What happens to a regular guy on the street who sticks a gun in someone's face and steals $5,000?  He goes to jail, deservedly so.  Well, what does it matter if the criminal wears a white-collar?  Theft is theft.  The only difference is that the mugger actually risks his own safety by facing his victim one-to-one.  You don't even have the guts to do that, Prince Charlie.  Instead, you hide behind closed-door meetings.

Trash.  Pure trash.

The school board's approval for the trip said it was an education conference, but The Jersey Journal learned Epps and Associate Superintendent Adele Macula arrived four days before the conference began and went to London.

"The four days were a scheduling problem, and I should have been more involved," Epps said. "But like I said, if I had to do it over again, that is something I would change."

Epps said he didn't take any vacation days as part of the England trip, despite the fact that the four days in London had nothing to do with the education conference at Oxford University.

"It was a work trip, so I was on work time," Epps said. "No, I did not take any vacation days."

You lying sack of dog feces.  What kind of work were you doing in London?  Explain.  A "scheduling problem"?  Uh, last I looked, England uses the same freaking calendar we do.  How many lies can you pile up in a single breath?

"I came to the Assembly with a very idealistic point of view about the integration of education and legislation, but I can't say I feel that same way now," he said.

Really?  Then why are you on the following committees:
Environment and Solid Waste
Health and Senior Services

Yeah, I bet you're fighting a good fight for education in those committees, you piece of crap.

You know how you can tell when Prince Charlie is lying?  His lips are moving.  When they aren't, he's just cooking up his next lie.

Thanks to Jarrert Renshaw of the Jersey Journal for the original reporting of this dastardly news.

I apologize if this has been brought up before, but is Charlie Epps's tie giving us the finger?

Re (0.00 / 0)
It's been brought up before.  But I think it's relevant, as that is basically what he is doing to the rest of us anyway.
