Rainy Saturday Haiku

by: Rosi Efthim

Sat Jul 10, 2010 at 09:19:49 AM EDT

Jason and I are headed into a Blue Jersey meeting, so I thought it would be a good time to see who wants to get their poetry mojo on. That makes this Rainy Saturday Haiku. You know the rules - You compose a haiku (5 syllables, then 7, then 5 again) on the topic the last poster suggests. Then you set the subject for the next haiku. Feel the power.

Loretta Weinberg chases Chris Christie out the back door - in 2 parts

Heels click in the hall
Scared rabbit runs out back door
Who looks tough now, eh?

Is the gov'ner in?
Who's that? Turn off that camera
Um, er, he gone now.

Next topic: Property tax cap

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.

On a five-year contract worth $96 million - what he'd get from the nets or the Heat - LeBron would pay $10.34 million in New Jersey taxes." Florida has no state income tax......wise move James

of course if you live in Florida you might have to wear less clothes for the weather.  How do you look in a bathing suit, Speed?  are you rocking a nice bathing suit bod or are you more of a t-shirt-in-the-pool type?
