Prince Charlie Too Cowardly To Face Public

by: Thurman Hart

Tue May 30, 2006 at 08:26:50 AM EDT

From the Jersey Journal:

By JARRETT RENSHAW

JOURNAL STAFF WRITER

He spent the public's money in England - but the public will be shut out of today's special school board meeting with state-appointed Schools Superintendent Charles T. Epps Jr.

Epps will likely be asked to explain his lavish spending and four-day side-trip to London while attending a 2004 education conference at Oxford University.

So why can't Prince Charlie face the public and answer questions in an open session?  Why can't he look at the voters he's supposed to represent and explain why he ripped them blind as soon as they weren't looking?

The district paid more than $20,000 so Epps and Associate Superintendent Adele Macula could attend the five-day conference - plus four other days they spent in London. Macula's husband, a vice president for United Water in Jersey City, also went on the trip.

There is no excuse for that kind of extravagance on the public dime - NONE!

"He deserves the respect of the board and he should be allowed him to explain himself behind closed doors to the board because it's a personnel issue," said school board member and former Jersey City Mayor Anthony Cucci. "

First of all, it isn't a personnel issue.  It's an issue of theft.  It's a criminal issue.  For that, he deserves no respect whatsoever.  He should be hauled into the court like the common criminal he is.
