Blue Jersey Friday Haiku

by: Jason Springer

Fri May 14, 2010 at 12:15:00 PM EDT

Has it been a busy week in New Jersey or what? We could rhyme about the millionaire's tax, Jon Runyan or affordable housing. Maybe you'd rather talk about the Supreme Court, both state and federal, or oil. Possibly you're in the mood to rhyme about the results of the non-partisan elections, the corruption trial of former Assemblyman Van Pelt, or the Governor's lack of transparency on nominations this time. No matter your pleasure, there is plenty to work with.

Rules are simple:

You compose a haiku (5 syllables, then 7, then 5) on the topic the last poster suggests. Then you get to set the next topic.

First topic: Jon Runyan has more skeletons in his closet

Runyan takes out trash
He may need a dump when done
Don't they vet these guys?

Next Topic: Millionaire's tax

Next topic: Oil drilling
