Design the new NJGOP logo!

Fresh off the Christie ~~statewide cage match~~ victory lap, and to celebrate a "new era of Republican leadership", NJGOP is running a contest to design a new logo.

From NJGOP contest rules:

We give all contestants full creative freedom, but ask that participants submit two logo designs utilizing our nickname "NJGOP" as well as our more formal name, "New Jersey Republican State Committee".

All contestants full creative freedom ... That is generous. Got ideas? Post them here. No obscene words, please, restrain thyself. More NJGOP guidelines: Color scheme is red, white & blue. And use the State of NJ, capital (sic) dome, Republican elephant and/or American flag.

GOPosaurus

Personally, we're big fans of the GOPosaurus, morphed on Daily Kos from the Bush era Republican logo. But maybe you'll come up with something even better. Here's a couple sites to get you started - LogoYes and CoolText.

Ooh, the winner gets a tour of the Statehouse (which, perhaps we should remind NJGOP is not quite part of the "new Republican era") plus a special photo opportunity!

they are soliciting ideas from people. Having said that, I also like that their soliciting gives us the opportunity to mock, like the first suggestion we received. I look forward to other suggestions and may have to think of something myself even. This could be fun.
