Dump Sean Kean

Here's the website for Dump Sean Kean, who embarrassed himself and embarrassed his District and seems not even to know it. Facebook page is here.-- Promoted by Rosi

On January 7th, 2010, Senator Sean Kean gave one of the most insulting speeches ever heard on the Senate floor. After doing so, he voted against the Freedom of Religion and Equality in Civil Marriage Act (S-1967), denying thousands of constituents from the GLBT community their basic civil rights.

vingopal :: Dump Sean Kean
We must never forget his speech and how patronizing it was.  The part in which he goes... he was honored to eat at a restaurant that was owned by gay owners is like a white person saying he has black friends so he is not racist or a Hindu saying he knows a Muslim so he has no prejudice. His comments about gay people moving into areas and the property values went up is beyond offensive. We have a moral obligation to make sure every pro-equality voter in the 11th District is contacted and brought out to vote against Sean Kean in November of 2011. What is fascinating is how many organizations launched in response to Senator Kean's speech. Already thousands of supporters have signed onto volunteer and thousands of dollars have been raised against him and its early 2010. Ads are being placed in different papers and his constituents are just absolutely outraged over his actions.

There are great organizations focused on challenging Sean Kean, including our friends at the bi-partisan UnSeatSeanKean. The UnSeatSeanKean organization, which I've also made a small donation to, is considering supporting a Republican primary challenge to him. While they do that, we'll be focused on the general election.

Our project is different than other groups in the sense that all funds raised through Dump Sean Kean will go directly towards supporting a pro-equality Democrat in the 2011 general election. We believe that only a pro-equality Democrat is viable enough to defeat Sean Kean. We are in the process of ID'ing every pro-equality voter in the 11th District and processing a database.

We've hired Juan Melli of Melli Strategies to do a website. Check it out at http://www.dumpseankean.com - Please become a Facebook Fan by clicking here

We're mobilized and energized. Please forward our information to anyone you know who lives in the 11th Legislative District, which includes   Allenhurst,  Asbury Park,  Atlantic Highlands,  Avon-by-the-Sea,  Belmar,  Bradley Beach,  Brielle,  Deal,  Eatontown,  Highlands,  Interlaken,  Lake Como,  Loch Arbour,  Long Branch,  Monmouth Beach,  Neptune City,  Neptune Township,  Ocean (Monmouth),  Rumson,  Sea Bright,  Sea Girt,  Spring Lake,  Spring Lake Heights,  Wall and  West Long Branch.

Please join us for the fight.

Thanks,

Vin Gopal
Chairman, Blue Monmouth PAC

A pro-Equality Democrat IS the only viable alternative! (0.00 / 0)
We saw how all the so-called "equality" repugnicans, save one, quickly wilted and flipped under pressure from Christie!

The district needs a strong Democrat who isn't afraid to stand up!

"Discrimination caused by ignorance and fear is a tax on human progress" - Barbra Casbar Siperstein

he should be replaced by a pro-equality Democrat (0.00 / 0)
and with the right campaign, one can win in the district.   I'm with you 100% on this campaign, and I like your message better than the Unseat Sean Kean group.

If you really want to spread the word, go to the Garden State Equality event on Friday night and spread the word there.
