QoTD: Rush Holt

...it strikes me as obscenely bizarre that every elected in the state hasn't been running around with their "hair on fire" demanding a switch to cheaper to buy and cheaper to operate and cheaper to maintain optical scanners that actually provide a voter verifiable paper trail.

What we have now is nothing but electronic/magnetic marks on a tape/cartridge......nothing humanly visible/tangible.   Anyone with the means and the criminal intent can fix our elections.   Billions of dollars worth of cashflow are at stake.......yet no one (except Rush Holt and, when pressed,  some progressive members of the legislature) in power seems to give a shit.

Why is that?  Eh?

Is it just pay to play for Sequoia (the existing contractor) or something far more insidious (or both?); either way it's filthy dirty.
