This Week: It's Groundhog Day! I understand Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter. But, I also heard some imposter groundhog performing for Mayor Bloomberg in Staten Island did not see his shadow, which means Spring is coming. Either way, it's sofa king freezing, I could scream.

Of course, it doesn't really matter which groundhog is right, because as I heard it said today, in New Jersey there are only two seasons anyway: construction and winter.

But, on to politics.

I'm baaaaack, from a quick (and warm) jaunt to California ("the New Jersey of the Pacific"), and ready to make some predictions of my own. How about these:

1- I predict that nothing serious will be done about campaign financing, despite the misguided Supreme Court decision that a legal fiction is a human being.

2- I predict that nothing serious will be done to clean house when it comes to the corrupt elements within the Democratic party.

3- I predict that 4 out of 5 Blue Jersey Radio listeners would not know what Gobbler's Knob is without looking it up.
