| EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Progressive Democrats of America (PDA), a national grassroots political action committee focused on fighting for progressive principles within the Democratic Party, will host their statewide Conference & and Winter Warm Up Dinner in New Jersey on Saturday, January 30th at the Days Hotel & Conference Center in East Brunswick. The organization will have a full day's schedule of trainings, networking, forums and a dinner in order to strengthen the PDA's New Jersey chapter and bring new members into the group. PDA's national advisory committee includes Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD), Congressman Jim McGovern (D-MA) and a variety of other progressive champions from around the country.
The conference is being co-sponsored by the ACLU, HealthCare Now, One Plan, One Nation, ThaTruth Music, PNHP-NJ and The Bear Education & Resource Group.

* Ray Stever - President of the NJ State Industrial Union Council
* Tim Carpenter - National Director of Progressive Democrats of America
* Steve Cobble - Associate Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, focused on anti-war work, voting rights, and Third World debt
* Steve Shaff - Founder and President of Community-Vision Consultants - develops affordable-housing home ownership opportunities while simultaneously addressing local, social, economic and political issues within the inner-city communities it serves
