Best wishes for Allen Carroll

I was horrified to hear the news yesterday that a Major in the US Army opened fire on his fellow soldiers stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.  There is a lot that can be said about how it happened, why it happened, and what could have been done to stop it.  But now is not the time to speak of such things.

Now is the time to realize that a New Jersey family is suffering tonight.  Even those who willingly go to war never expect to be taken down in an act of betrayal.  It is incomprehensible.  As incomprehensible as the pain Alan Carroll's family must be feeling.  Fortunately, it looks like Carroll will survive, but he will always bear the scars of this attack, both mental and physical.

If you're the praying kind; then I ask you keep Carroll and his family in your prayers - indeed, all of the families and soldiers who were involved need our prayers.  If you aren't the praying kind; then I ask you to take a moment and wish them well anyway.
