I'm not sure whether to buy the Generation Jones moniker. Born in 1960, I'm nominally at the tail end of the baby boom (1946-1962, by the most accepted definition). But Viet Nam and the protests were something on TV for me, and the draft ended before I would have to make my dreaded trip to jail. So I have only so much in common with those born in the late 1940s.

Anyway, the last time the Yankees either lost a WS with a Democrat or won with a Republican was 1964, when I was too young to remember.
