PPP Poll: Christie leads

by: Hopeful

Sun Nov 01, 2009 at 11:21:21 PM EST

The weekend PPP poll of 994 likely New Jersey voters is out and they have Christie 47, Corzine 41, Daggett 11. PPP's Tom Jensen believes the data show Daggett hurts Corzine more than Christie. Corzine's favorable-unfavorable is 34-57 which is the fundamental problem. They also have Republicans leading the generic Assembly ballot 44-38. The full report is here (PDF.) All in all, a disappointing poll for Democrats.

Also favors Republican for Congress (4.00 / 1)
I would like to see an analysis of the sample by an expert. It's either a sampling issue (there's a high percent of conservatives) or Democrats at all levels are in trouble.

The "family" connection (0.00 / 0)

Here's Chris Christie at it again, getting sued I mean, this time for some pretty serious and blatant copyright infringement.  Check it:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...

It's all a good read.  The writer even brings in Christie's family connection to Tino "The Greek" and his lack of pursuit of organized crime during is USA tenure.

I wish that 47% would see Christie for the hypocrit and bully he is.

Christie has no moral compass (0.00 / 0)
I think it's a joke that people who are concerned about corruption may vote for him.  He is at best "ethically challenged" and has no moral compass.

I also love seeing the hypocrisy of the Republicans proved once again, having forced a Democrat to resign from the state Attorney's General office due to trying to work a deal on a traffic ticket.

sick of polls! (0.00 / 0)
Lets vote already.

When the voters see the pictures (0.00 / 0)
of Christie without his girdle the polls will make a radical shift.

Restore democracy and the Constitution for which it stands.

GOTV (0.00 / 0)
It is all going to come down to Get out the Vote.

maybe worth noting (0.00 / 0)
That Obama's approval is below 50% which we have not seen in most polls. So that is some evidence that it may have gotten more conservative-leaning than usual, but who knows? Anyway, we will know soon and the point is to be motivated to get out the vote.

In New Jersey? (0.00 / 0)
What poll shows Obama's favorability below 50% in NJ?

the Obama job approval in this PPP poll (0.00 / 0)
(which you can get off the PDF link) is 45-45, which is a lot worse than other polls. You might even say it's 7 points worse, which would be the size of Christie's lead.

Remember this is among likely voters for Tuesday, PPP has made clear they have a lot of 2008 Obama voters not voting Tuesday. So registered voters or all adults would undoubtedly be higher.
