| Governor Corzine’s plan to hike the sales tax from 6 to 7 percent is understandably getting a lot of flack from both sides of the isle. New Jersey already has the highest property taxes, 5th highest corporate taxes and 15th highest income taxes in the nation.
Transportation projects that were put on the backburner after the state came to the realization that the Transportation Trust Fund was nearly empty are going to be funded thanks to new legislation passed earlier this month.
Truck drivers, as a result of their pay scale, are sacrificing safety to try to get their deliveries done faster. Time does equal money but is it worth putting yourself or others at risk? Yeah, didn’t think so.
