Christie, Rudy and Hannity on Fox

by: Jason Springer

Tue May 19, 2009 at 12:00:00 PM EDT

Chris Christie was on the Sean Hannity show last night on fox, but he didn't go alone as he went with his buddy Rudy for moral support. Christie managed to repeat his talking points again when actually tossed a question and then Rudy didn't go 30 seconds before mentioning terrorism. He said Chris Christie is an example of how a political party comes back.

Christie for his part once again said how much he loves those Governors that are turning away stimulus dollars. Christie supporters probably weren't too excited with Rudy taking over so much of the interview while Hannity seemed more concerned with New York. Christie kept trying to bring it back to Jersey, but Rudy and Sean made sure to shift things back to NYC and the national Republican party. At times, you wondered whether Rudy or Christie were the candidate running for office:

Christie Was The "Monkey in the Middle" (0.00 / 0)
Even as a Corzine supporter, I confess that I almost felt sorry and embarrassed for Chris Christie.

He came across as extremely uncomfortable and unnatural.   The body language, facial expressions voice tone and his eye movements said that he would have been a lot happier if Giuliani wasn't there.   He wouldn't even look at Giuliani.

The "mayor"  was supposed to be there in a supporting role and take a back seat; but he couldn't resist hogging the spotlight and dominating the conversation to promote his own political ambition.

Meanwhile, poor Christies is stuck there like the proverbial "Monkey in the Middle" frozen, staring at Sean Hannity like he's in smitten or terrified (take yer pick) while the two "stars" talk over his head.

This interview makes Christie look stupid and weak....and that's a good thing for New Jersey.   Better we should see the real Chris Christie exposed sooner rather than when it would be too late.

The man was/is a petty partisan hack who isn't ready for prime time, the fact that he has to struggle to beat Lonegan is another sign of the weakness of his candidacy.
